Agbebaku inflated cost of vehicles bought for lawmakers — new Edo speaker

The newly elected Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Yekini Idaiye, has accused his predecessor, Blessing Agbebaku, of inflating the cost of Lexus 570 and Toyota Hilux vehicles purchased for lawmakers. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Idaiye made the allegation during his inauguration on Monday, citing it as part of the reasons for Agbebaku’s suspension pending investigation.

He announced the dissolution of political appointees under the former Speaker and directed security agencies to withdraw his official status, vowing that a “blind and greedy man” would never again lead the Assembly.
