Alaska Airlines crew initiates lockdown after in-flight passenger threats
An Alaska Airlines flight from Miami to Seattle was delayed Sunday evening after threats from passengers prompted the pilot to initiate a lockdown protocol.
According to CNN, air traffic control audio captured the pilot requesting law enforcement after flight attendants received threats onboard.
Two passengers were removed and rebooked on another flight, though an investigation found no credible threat, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said.
The flight, which was scheduled to depart at 6:29pm, eventually departed around 8:45pm after passengers reboarded and the aircraft was cleared.
