Alex Iwobi lands surprise managerial role while continuing Fulham career
Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has taken on a surprise managerial role with Project 17 in the Baller League while continuing his Premier League career. The Nigerian international, who has started all five of Fulham’s league matches this season, will combine his playing duties with managing the small-sided team.
According to talkSPORT, Iwobi has long been interested in the competition and wants his team to play entertaining football.The 30-year-old said his management style would reflect his personality as a player, describing himself as calm, passionate and focused on enjoyment. Iwobi joins several prominent names on the Baller League touchline, including Micah Richards, Daniel Sturridge, Ian Wright and Chloe Kelly.
