Alleged drug trafficking: Explain $460,000 forfeiture instead of attacking my lobbyist, Atiku blasts Tinubu
Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to explain a $460,000 forfeiture recorded in a United States court, rather than attacking his US lobbyist.
According to Vanguard, Atiku’s spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, said the forfeiture formed part of American judicial records and was not fabricated by the lobbyist. Atiku had engaged Von Batten-Montague-York for $1.2 million to advance his interests in Washington. Shaibu also accused the Tinubu administration of hypocrisy over its criticism of the engagement, alleging that it had separately hired a US lobbying firm for millions of dollars.
