Amaechi says only ‘mad people’ will vote for Tinubu in 2027
Former Rivers State Governor and African Democratic Congress vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, has urged voters in Edo State to reject President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
According to SaharaReporters, Amaechi spoke during an ADC town hall meeting in Edo State, where he criticised the Tinubu administration’s policies and called for greater voter participation.
“Only mad people will vote for Tinubu. If Edo people vote for President Tinubu, that means Edo people are mad. If you’re not mad, Tinubu should not win here,” Amaechi said.
He also questioned the Federal Government’s support for another seaport in Ogun State, alleging that financial interests were driving the project.
“It is not because he likes Ogun people. It is the money he will make out of the construction,” he said.
Amaechi urged opposition supporters to return to their communities and monitor the electoral process.
“If you want Tinubu to go, please go home. Go home. Go home,” he said.
