Amnesty International vows to make Fadahunsi example in fight against political impunity
Amnesty International has vowed to make Senator Francis Fadahunsi an example in its campaign against political impunity, according to Peoples Gazette. Country director Isa Sanusi said this on Channels TV after Fadahunsi allegedly told APC supporters in Osun to kill Accord Party members ahead of Saturday’s election.
Fadahunsi later denied the instruction, claiming misinterpretation. Sanusi said incitement to violence violates international and Nigerian law, and announced plans for an international “name-and-shame” campaign against politicians advocating electoral violence, warning such figures would be exposed globally through Amnesty’s network in 150 countries.
