Andy Carroll names former ‘Fame Academy’ star Kevin Adams as sex abuser
Former England striker Andy Carroll has confirmed that former Fame Academy dance coach Kevin Adams was the man who sexually assaulted him in 2019. According to The Sun, Carroll made the disclosure after Adams’ name appeared in publicly available court documents.
Adams was convicted of sexual assault at Chelmsford Crown Court in 2023 and sentenced to 20 months in prison. Carroll, 37, had previously detailed the traumatic incident in his autobiography Owning It without identifying his attacker.
He said the assault had a devastating effect on his life and career, adding that he hoped naming Adams would allow him to finally move forward. Carroll also asked people not to repeatedly share photographs of his convicted abuser alongside him.
