APC defeats ADC at Aregbesola’s Ilesa polling unit

The All Progressives Congress has defeated the African Democratic Congress at former Osun Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s polling unit in Ilesa East Local Government Area, according to Premium Times Nigeria.

At PU001, APC’s Bola Oyebamiji polled 256 votes, ahead of Accord’s Ademola Adeleke with 43 and ADC’s Najeem Salaam with 13. The ADC also lost a nearby unit, PU007, where APC scored 202 votes against Accord’s 110 and ADC’s 12.

The results mark an early setback for Aregbesola, ADC’s national secretary and a key backer of Salaam’s candidacy.
