APC denies withdrawing presidential campaign council list comprising convicted looters, alleged fraudsters

APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka has dismissed reports that the party withdrew its 2027 presidential campaign council list, describing the claims as rumours while acknowledging that any updates would be formally announced, TheCable reports.

“Rumours are not news. Nobody will give any list at the moment. But if there is any reason to update it, it would be announced properly,” Morka said.

The Saturday list has generated significant controversy over the inclusion of former Minister Betta Edu — suspended over financial malfeasance allegations — and ex-NSITF chairperson Ngozi Olejeme, currently facing an EFCC probe over alleged N1 billion money laundering, alongside serving public officials including NRS Chairman Zacch Adedeji.
