APC kicks against bid to recall Fadahunsi, calls for investigation into Osun deaths
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected moves to recall Osun East Senator Francis Fadahunsi, saying he has provided quality representation to his district, according to The Nation.
Party official Akinyele Akintola, speaking at a press conference in Ilesa, described a viral video purportedly showing Fadahunsi making an inflammatory statement as doctored, calling it a coordinated campaign against the two-term senator. He said Fadahunsi had condemned political killings in Osun State and highlighted the senator’s constituency projects, including employment for 400 women and youths.
On the alleged killing of more than 22 APC members during the 2026 governorship election, Akintola called for a thorough police investigation and urged authorities to strengthen security in Ijesaland.
