Arsenal shelve major Emirates Stadium redevelopment plans
Arsenal have put plans for a major Emirates Stadium redevelopment on hold, with the club instead focusing on improving existing facilities. According to The Sun, club chiefs outlined their approach during a meeting with the Arsenal Advisory Board, saying they would build on improvements already made rather than pursue a large-scale masterplan.
The 60,000-capacity stadium has faced growing demand for tickets, while previous expansion plans could have required a temporary home and significant investment. Arsenal are instead prioritising upgrades including improved mobile connectivity, with 5G expected before the end of the season. Safe standing will also expand to 6,650 fans.
