Arsenal youngster Louie Copley suffers ACL rupture in pre-season loss

Arsenal midfielder Louie Copley has confirmed he suffered a ruptured ACL during the club’s pre-season friendly against Real Betis. According to Arsenal Youth, Copley came on at half-time at right-back but was forced off after just 10 minutes.

The 19-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Crawley Town, expressed his disappointment on Instagram but vowed to return stronger.

Copley had impressed during Arsenal’s earlier friendly against Girona and was hoping to secure another loan opportunity. The injury is expected to keep him sidelined for an extended period and derail his immediate development plans.
