Atiku files suit to disqualify Tinubu over alleged certificate forgery
Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has personally deposed to an affidavit at the Federal High Court, Abuja, in a suit seeking to disqualify President Bola Tinubu from the 2027 election, according to a report by Vanguard.
The suit, filed against Tinubu, the APC and INEC, alleges Tinubu submitted a forged NYSC certificate bearing the name “Tinubu Bola Adekunle,” differing from his legal name.
Atiku also challenges provisions of the Electoral Act 2026 restricting pre-election qualification challenges, insisting the Constitution takes precedence. He has asked INEC to produce Tinubu’s Form CF001 for both the 2023 and 2027 elections.
