Atiku’s suit against Tinubu’s 2027 eligibility hits court setback

Atiku Abubakar’s legal challenge against President Bola Tinubu’s eligibility for the 2027 election hit a snag on Tuesday after he failed to personally serve court papers on Tinubu, according to a Daily Post Nigeria report.

At the Federal High Court in Abuja, Atiku’s counsel, Joseph Onu Silas, sought a substituted-service order, while Tinubu’s lawyer, Omosanya Popoola SAN, offered to accept the process but demanded written proof of representation first. Justice Inyang Ekwo adjourned the matter to September 28 after the dispute stalled proceedings, giving Atiku time to resolve the service issue.
