Barcelona 7-2 Racing Santander: Raphinha hat-trick fires leaders to sixth straight win

According to Barca Blaugranes, Barcelona maintained their 100 per cent start to the La Liga season by defeating Racing Santander 7-2 at Camp Nou on Wednesday. Raphinha was the standout performer, scoring a hat-trick as the Catalan giants produced another devastating attacking display.

João Cancelo opened the scoring with a spectacular long-range effort before Raphinha converted from the penalty spot. Racing briefly responded through Maguette Gueye, but Cancelo struck again from distance before Raphinha added his second from Dani Olmo’s assist.

Barcelona led 4-1 at half-time and controlled much of the second period, although Wojciech Szczesny’s error allowed Yassir Zabiri to score Racing’s second. Raphinha completed his hat-trick from another penalty before Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal added late goals. The result gives Barcelona six wins from six league matches, although they again conceded twice.
