Barcelona fight back to beat Galatasaray 4-1 and extend perfect season
Barcelona extended their perfect start to the 2026/27 season with a 4-1 comeback victory over Galatasaray in Istanbul on Tuesday, recording their 10th consecutive win across all competitions. According to TSN, Hansi Flick’s side recovered from an early setback to maintain their winning run and strengthen their position in the UEFA Champions League league phase.
Galatasaray took the lead through Aleksey Batrakov in the first half and briefly threatened to double their advantage before VAR ruled out another goal. Barcelona responded just before half-time when João Cancelo capitalised on a loose ball to restore parity after Lamine Yamal lost possession.
Fermín López put the visitors ahead five minutes into the second half before Anthony Gordon scored his first Champions League goal for Barcelona on his first start in the competition. Karim Adeyemi completed the scoring in the 65th minute, finishing into the bottom corner to seal a convincing victory. The result leaves Barcelona top of the league-phase standings with maximum points from two matches and nine goals scored in the competition.
