Billionaire’s WSJ op-ed criticising Treasury Secretary was written with AI

Billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller has acknowledged using artificial intelligence to write an opinion article in The Wall Street Journal criticising Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s intervention in the US bond market.

According to NOTUS, Druckenmiller said he now uses AI for all his writing, comparing it to using a calculator for mathematics.

The article questioned Bessent’s efforts to hold down US Treasury yields and attracted attention because Druckenmiller previously worked with Bessent under George Soros.

Druckenmiller said AI did not undermine the piece because the opinions expressed were his own, while media experts warned about concerns surrounding AI-assisted journalism.
