Bukayo Saka injury: Arsenal star subbed off early against Bayern Munich
Arsenal suffered a major setback early in their UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday as Bukayo Saka was forced off after just 10 minutes at the Allianz Arena.
According to a report by NBC Sports, the 25-year-old winger grabbed at his upper leg following a pass and left the pitch shortly after, with Eberechi Eze coming on to replace him.
The injury adds to Saka’s history of fitness setbacks, having missed games last season due to hamstring, hip, and achilles issues.
With Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli having departed the club and Christos Tzolis currently unavailable, Saka’s potential absence creates an urgent opportunity for Eze or young prospect Max Dowman to secure regular playing time in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
