Nigerian army ranked 39th bravest in global firepower index…

The Nigerian Army has been ranked as the 39th bravest in terms of confronting any adversary out of over 145 countries assessed in the Global Firepower Index for 2024, according to Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.

The ranking reflects the resilience and growth of the Nigerian Army in maintaining its strength and effectiveness amid various security challenges.

Lt. Gen. Lagbaja, who was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in June 2023, acknowledged the dedication and hard work of the Nigerian Army’s troops in achieving this recognition.

He noted that the Army’s focus on improving operational capabilities, enhancing training programs, and modernizing equipment has contributed to its success in maintaining national security and stability.

The Global Firepower Index considers various factors when ranking nations’ military forces, including manpower, airpower, land systems, naval power, and other resources.
