Charly Boy reveals how he linked Obasanjo with Isbae U

Veteran entertainer and activist, Charly Boy, has revealed that he helped connect former President Olusegun Obasanjo with comedian and content creator Isbae U for the viral YouTube show, Curiosity Made Me Ask.

Charly Boy made the disclosure in a post on X on Monday while reflecting on Obasanjo’s appearance on the programme. He said the interview demonstrated the importance of creating opportunities for young Nigerians and encouraging older generations to engage with their ideas.

According to him, as reported by The Punch, Obasanjo embraced the unconventional format and matched Isbae U’s energy, showing Nigerians a different side of himself.

“And who helped make that connection happen? CharlyBoy. Fada believed in the young people behind that show enough to pull Baba into their space,” he wrote.

The former president’s appearance attracted attention after he participated in the show’s trademark humour and banter, responding to questions about contemporary Nigerian pop culture.

Charly Boy urged older Nigerians to open doors for young people, while encouraging youths to prepare themselves to seize opportunities.

“When generations support each other, everybody gets to grow. Na so legacy suppose work,” he added.
