Chelsea agree £125m Enzo Fernández sale to Manchester City
Manchester City have reached an agreement to sign Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández for £125 million, matching the British transfer record set by Liverpool for Alexander Isak last summer, according to The Athletic. Fernández has been given permission to undergo a medical before completing the move, ending a prolonged transfer saga over his future.
The Argentina international joined Chelsea from Benfica for £106.8m in January 2023 and made 170 appearances, scoring 31 goals and providing 30 assists. He previously worked with new City boss Enzo Maresca during his time at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea had initially insisted Fernández would remain after setting a £120m valuation.
