Chelsea ask Jorge Mendes to accelerate Enzo Fernandez exit

Chelsea have reportedly asked agent Jorge Mendes to help accelerate Enzo Fernandez’s potential departure amid growing interest from Manchester City, according to AS. City manager Enzo Maresca is keen to reunite with the Argentina midfielder at the Etihad and has reportedly maintained contact with the 25-year-old.

City previously made a verbal €120m proposal, but Chelsea rejected the offer. The Blues are believed to want a substantial fee for Fernandez, whose reported release clause is around £120m. The midfielder’s willingness to consider a move could further fuel negotiations, while potential departures of Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders may strengthen City’s financial position.
