Chelsea charged by FA over supporters’ conduct during Fulham win

Chelsea have been charged by the Football Association over supporters’ behaviour during their Premier League victory against Fulham on August 24. According to Football London, the charge relates to alleged improper, offensive or discriminatory conduct during the ninth minute at Craven Cottage.

The FA said Chelsea allegedly failed to ensure supporters behaved appropriately, with the incident reportedly involving a reference to religion or belief. Chelsea had previously contacted travelling fans after receiving reports of sectarian chanting, warning that discriminatory behaviour could result in strong sanctions. The club now faces an FA disciplinary process over the incident.
