Chelsea eye shock Zubimendi swoop as Arsenal midfielder mulls January exit
Chelsea are monitoring Martin Zubimendi’s situation at Arsenal, with the Spain international ready to push for a January move if his role under Mikel Arteta doesn’t improve, according to EPL Index. The 27-year-old lost his starting spot to Myles Lewis-Skelly last season, with Bruno Guimaraes’ arrival adding further competition for places.
Real Madrid are also tracking the midfielder, with talks held during the summer window, though Arsenal resisted selling. Up to six clubs made contact over the player, but Zubimendi has ruled out a move to Saudi Arabia, keeping his focus on Europe. His future will reportedly be reviewed before January.
