Chelsea receive major injury boost as Caicedo and Palmer lead five-man return
Chelsea have received a significant injury boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth, with Moises Caicedo, Cole Palmer, Reece James, Joao Pedro and Marco Palestra reportedly ready to return. According to the Daily Mail, manager Xabi Alonso confirmed that the five players have returned to training after recovering from their respective fitness problems.
Caicedo’s return is particularly important after his calf injury sidelined him following a brief comeback against Brighton. Palmer has also resumed training after withdrawing from England duty. The reinforcements arrive after Chelsea’s disappointing 3-0 defeat to Brentford left them 10th in the Premier League. Alonso will hope their availability helps the Blues improve their form at Stamford Bridge.
