Chinese intel official buys building steps from White House…
A senior Chinese Communist Party intelligence official, Philip Qiu, has purchased a historic building roughly 650 feet from the White House, according to an investigation by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The Securities Building was bought for $8.4 million on July 21 by the Philip Qiu and Family Foundation. Qiu has held multiple Chinese intelligence and state security positions, including ties to the United Front Work Department.
Intelligence experts warned the purchase poses serious national security risks, citing potential surveillance and espionage capabilities near sensitive federal facilities, and called for government intervention.
