Danfo Drama:Passengers stunned as woman welcomes baby boy inside Lagos commercial bus (VIDEO)
Passengers aboard a commercial bus, popularly called Danfo, were stunned after a pregnant woman unexpectedly went into labour and delivered a baby boy in Lagos.
According to Vanguard, the incident occurred in Oshodi, where commuters and onlookers gathered around the vehicle following the delivery.
Fellow passengers reportedly assisted the woman while others offered prayers for her safe delivery.
A viral video showed the mother holding her newborn as witnesses celebrated the baby’s arrival.
Some suggested naming the child Abiona, a Yoruba name associated with children born during journeys.
The incident attracted reactions from Nigerians, with many praising the assistance offered by commuters.
A similar incident occurred previously at Onipanu Bus Stop, where Lagos State Emergency Management Agency officials assisted a woman who went into labour.
“The woman delivered a healthy baby boy. Both mother and child were stabilized by LASEMA paramedics before being transported to a nearby healthcare facility for post-natal care,” LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu stated.
