Darline Graham wins GOP runoff to replace late brother Lindsey Graham

Darline Graham has won South Carolina’s Republican Senate primary runoff, defeating U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman in the race to replace her late brother, Lindsey Graham.

According to the Associated Press, Graham entered politics after being appointed to serve temporarily in her brother’s seat following his July death. President Donald Trump strongly backed her campaign, holding rallies and urging voters to support her.

Norman emphasized his congressional experience and criticized Graham’s limited political background, including a debate stumble on national security.

Graham will now face Democrat Annie Andrews in November, with Republicans favored in a state they have dominated for decades.
