David Silva comes out of retirement at 40 to join Hong Kong club
Spain and Manchester City legend David Silva has come out of retirement at 40 to join Hong Kong Premier League side Supreme Sha Tin. The club announced the surprise signing on Wednesday, three years after Silva retired following his spell with Real Sociedad.
According to The Athletic, Silva has agreed to a short-term deal and will travel to Hong Kong to regain match fitness before making his debut. Silva won 125 caps for Spain and helped them win the 2010 World Cup and European Championships in 2008 and 2012. He also won four Premier League titles among 11 major trophies with Manchester City.
