Davido debunks reports of attack on Adeleke’s convoy in Osun
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, has denied reports that Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke’s convoy was attacked in Osogbo, according to a Tribune Online report. Earlier reports claimed suspected gunmen engaged the governor’s security detail in a shootout near the Ataoja of Osogbo’s palace shortly after Adeleke received his Certificate of Return from INEC.
In a post on X, Davido dismissed the claims, saying the incident was an unrelated fight that occurred outside the palace. “Lies! It was a fight outside the palace that had nothing to do with us. The people love his excellency,” he wrote.
