Davido to have music and performing arts school named after him at Babcock University
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has unveiled plans to establish a music and performing arts complex at Babcock University, his alma mater.
According to tooXclusive, the award-winning singer revealed the prototype of the proposed David Adeleke School of Music and Performing Arts Complex through his Instagram story on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The proposed facility will provide students with modern recording studios, advanced music equipment and creative resources designed to strengthen music education and practical training.
The initiative follows a commitment Davido made during his visit to the university in May 2026, when he pledged to support the institution’s development.
Davido graduated from Babcock University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music.
The complex is expected to be completed around 2028, offering aspiring musicians and performing artists opportunities to develop their talents.
The project represents another effort by the singer to contribute to educational development while supporting the next generation of Nigerian creative professionals through improved learning facilities and resources.
