Declan Rice names former captain as his most underrated teammate
Arsenal and England midfielder Declan Rice has named uncapped former West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble as the most underrated teammate of his career, according to GiveMeSport.
Speaking in a quick-fire Q&A session with Swedish broadcaster Viaplay, the 27-year-old Ballon d’Or nominee bypassed star-studded options from club and international football to highlight the former Hammers captain.
Rice, who shared the pitch with Noble 120 times at West Ham before eventually inheriting the club captaincy, praised his former teammate’s quality and leadership.
Despite making 550 senior appearances for West Ham and captaining England at youth levels up to the under-21s, Noble retired in 2022 without earning a single senior international cap. Rice also singled out England captain Harry Kane as the single best player he has ever played alongside.
