Deco clears the air: Barcelona not pursuing Man United prodigy JJ Gabriel

Barcelona sporting director Deco has dismissed reports linking the Catalan club with a move for Manchester United wonderkid JJ Gabriel, stating that the club is not currently pursuing the 15-year-old.​

Speaking at the Portugal Football Summit, Deco suggested Barcelona’s name was being leveraged to generate interest in the highly-rated teenager, who is expected to leave Old Trafford before his 16th birthday on October 6.

He emphasized that the club must understand all circumstances before pursuing young talents.​

As reported by Football España, despite long-standing scouting interest, Barcelona appears distanced from the race while Real Madrid continues working on a potential deal.
