Deleject syringes safe for use, NAFDAC confirms after probe
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has declared Deleject Disposable Needles safe for use, according to THISDAY.
NAFDAC’s Bitrus Fraden said investigations into a Kaduna pharmacist’s complaint about particulate matter found no manufacturing defect, tracing the issue instead to possible mishandling during transport or storage.
The agency withdrew its earlier public alert on the product batch, calling it an error. Nationwide surveillance found no similar reports elsewhere. NAFDAC urged distributors to ensure proper handling and storage of medical products to prevent compromise.
