Dollar to Naira exchange rate update – November 06, 2026
VIA VANGUARD:
The US dollar is trading at about ₦1,400 on the parallel market on Friday, while the official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate closed at ₦1,348.74 on Thursday, a slight depreciation from the previous session, according to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) data.
| Market | Rate (₦/$) | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Official (NFEM) | 1,348.74 | Nov 5 (close) |
| Parallel | ~1,400 | Nov 6 |
The NFEM rate is the volume-weighted average of transactions and serves as Nigeria’s official benchmark. The gap between both markets reflects continued demand for foreign currency outside the formal banking system.
Actual rates may vary by location, dealer and forex availability, and could change during the day. Importers, businesses, students abroad and individuals making international payments continue to monitor both markets.
