Dollar to Naira exchange rate update – October 13, 2026
VIA VANGUARD:
The naira remained relatively stable on Tuesday, with the official market holding steady while the parallel market kept its premium.
| Market | Buying | Selling |
|---|---|---|
| NFEM (official) | ₦1,332.49 | ₦1,332.49 |
| Parallel market | ₦1,365–₦1,370 | ₦1,375–₦1,390 |
Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and market trackers show increased forex turnover at the official window, keeping the naira within a ₦1,329 to ₦1,333 band in recent sessions. Analysts credit the stability to monetary policy adjustments, liquidity management and rising net foreign reserves, which have improved investor confidence.
The gap between the two markets is roughly ₦45 to ₦55, driven by demand for travel, tuition and imports. Rates may vary by transaction volume, location and platform, so consumers should confirm with their banks or authorised dealers before transacting.
