Dollar to Naira exchange rate update – October 15, 2026
VIA VANGUARD:
The Naira held steady with a slight gain against the Dollar on Thursday, across both the official and parallel markets. Analysts link the stability to investor caution ahead of the NBS’s September inflation report.
| Market | Rate (N/$) |
|---|---|
| Official (NFEM) | 1,330 – 1,333 |
| Parallel (buying) | 1,355 – 1,365 |
| Parallel (selling) | 1,375 – 1,390 |
At the NFEM, the Naira peaked at N1,330.13 mid-day, stronger than the N1,335.50 it touched earlier this week. Higher forex turnover and external reserves, which recently hit an 18-month high, are helping the CBN contain volatility.
The gap between official and parallel rates remains narrow, which experts say reflects balanced liquidity and reduced speculative pressure.
