Dollar to Naira exchange rate update – September 14, 2026
VIA NAIJA NEWS:
The naira maintained its position against the US dollar at the official market on Sunday, according to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) data reported by Naija News.
| Market | Rate (₦/$1) | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Official (Sunday) | 1,326.5192 | Sept 13 |
| Official (Saturday) | 1,326.5192 | Sept 12 |
| Parallel/Black Market | 1,390 | Sept 11 (Fri) |
Sunday’s rate mirrored Saturday’s figure, showing no movement at the official window. At the parallel market, however, the naira closed Friday at a wider gap of ₦1,390 to the dollar.
Rates offered by commercial banks, BDC operators, and other forex dealers may differ from CBN’s reference rates due to transaction margins and prevailing demand-supply conditions.
Analysts say market watchers will keep tracking forex inflows, dollar demand, and CBN policy moves for clues on whether the naira can hold its gains through the month.
