El-Rufai’s ex-ally pledges to deliver 11 LGs to APC

Former Kaduna State Chief of Staff Bashir Sai’du has pledged to deliver the 11 local government areas of Zazzau emirate to the All Progressives Congress in upcoming elections.

According to Peoples Gazette, Sai’du, a former political ally of ex-Governor Nasir El-Rufai, made the pledge after recently defecting from the African Democratic Congress.

Sai’du said he joined the APC with 10,000 supporters and expects thousands more ADC members from Lere and other local government areas to follow.

The former finance commissioner said the APC would secure more votes in Zaria than residents gave former President Muhammadu Buhari in previous elections.

He added that his supporters were already developing strategies to win elections and demonstrate their political strength across the Zazzau emirate.
