Elon Musk becomes trillionaire again as SpaceX, Tesla shares surge
Elon Musk has regained his status as the world’s first trillionaire after a rise in the value of his companies boosted his fortune above the $1tn mark.
According to Forbes, Musk’s net worth topped $1tn on Monday after SpaceX and Tesla shares climbed following the opening of US markets.
The development marks another return above the trillion-dollar threshold for Musk, who first reached the milestone in June after SpaceX went public.
Forbes reported that Musk’s wealth had fallen below $1tn following a sharp decline in SpaceX shares and changes affecting his Tesla equity. The latest rally has since restored his trillionaire status.
Musk remains the world’s richest person by a significant margin. His wealth is largely tied to his stakes in SpaceX and Tesla, with SpaceX becoming his most valuable asset following its landmark public listing.
The surge highlights the significant influence of market movements on Musk’s enormous fortune.
