Elon Musk to rename SpaceXAI ‘SpaceXSI’ after Trump’s ‘Super Intelligence’ push
Elon Musk has said his artificial intelligence company SpaceXAI will be renamed “SpaceXSI,” following President Donald Trump’s push to replace the term artificial intelligence with “super intelligence.”
According to Forbes, Musk announced the planned rebrand Sunday in a series of posts on X, embracing the “SI” terminology promoted by Trump.
“No more AI,” Musk wrote, adding that “super intelligence” is “better.”
When an X user asked whether SpaceXAI would consequently be renamed SpaceXSI, Musk replied: “Yes, we will make that change.”
“SpaceX is a super intelligence company,” Musk said in another post.
Trump signed an executive order on September 29 directing federal agencies to use “Super Intelligence,” or “SI,” instead of artificial intelligence and AI in official communications.
Musk has not announced when the proposed rebranding will officially take effect. As of Sunday morning, Forbes reported that the company’s website and social media accounts continued to carry the SpaceXAI name.
