Ex-CIA director Brennan called to testify in Trump conspiracy case
Former CIA Director John Brennan has been subpoenaed to testify next month before a Florida grand jury as part of a Justice Department investigation into whether former officials conspired against President Donald Trump, according to a report by Fox News.
Ken Wainstein, Brennan’s attorney, disclosed in a court filing Monday that prosecutors presented the subpoena last Thursday, requiring Brennan to appear October 15 in Fort Pierce. The probe examines whether officials who investigated Trump conspired to deprive him of his civil rights. Brennan also remains a target in a separate Washington investigation into whether he lied to Congress in 2023, which he denies. The subpoena came the same day Joe diGenova, the lead prosecutor, abruptly resigned from the Justice Department.
