Ex-minister Sylva resigns from APC amid coup case

Former Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva, has resigned from the APC, describing the party as an “irredeemable” ship and accusing the Tinubu-led government of disappointing most Nigerians.

According to Punch, Sylva, a founding APC member, said in his resignation letter that he could no longer belong to a party whose leaders believe “all is fair in politics.”

He copied the EFCC in the letter, acknowledging his exit could invite renewed scrutiny amid his alleged links to a 2025 coup plot, which he denies.
