Fabian Hurzeler praises Brighton players after 4-0 Conference League victory
Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler praised his players’ discipline and preparation after they opened their UEFA Conference League campaign with a 4-0 victory over Kauno Zalgiris on Thursday.
According to Brighton’s official website, Georginio scored twice, while Jack Hinshelwood and Younes Ibrahim also contributed as the Seagulls secured a convincing win at the Amex Stadium.
Hurzeler highlighted Georginio’s commitment in training, describing him as “a prime example” of how preparation translates into matchday performances.
The Brighton manager was also pleased with the team’s clean sheet and the opportunities taken by several players, stressing the importance of having a squad capable of stepping up when required.
Meanwhile, Hurzeler explained that Zadok Yohanna remained in rehabilitation and needed time to adapt to the team’s demands. “With Zadok, we want to give him time. We don’t want to rush it,” he said. He added that Malick Yalcouye deserved his place in the squad because of his reliability and ability to contribute in different match situations.
