Senator Francis Fadahunsi has clarified his viral “Kill Accord” comment, insisting it was a call for APC supporters to reject the Accord Party through votes, not violence, according to PUNCH.
In a statement issued Tuesday, his media office described the remark as “purely political and metaphorical,” made ahead of Osun’s August 15 governorship election. The clarification follows a video showing Fadahunsi accusing Accord Party members of attacking APC supporters in Ilesa.
Adeleke’s campaign council has since urged the Inspector-General of Police to investigate the comment, which sparked backlash amid rising election tensions in the state.
