Fake agency: Made-in-Nigeria boss fires back at ICPC with appointment letter

The National Coordinator of the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, George Nwabueze, has denied ICPC’s claim that he runs a “fake agency,” insisting his office operates under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

According to Sunday PUNCH, Nwabueze shared an appointment letter dated October 3, 2025, purportedly signed by OSGF Permanent Secretary Nadungu Gagare, confirming a five-year tenure from July 2025.

This followed the ICPC chairman’s allegation that President Tinubu ordered Nwabueze’s arrest over the outfit, which investigators say occupied OSGF space without presidential authorisation.
