Fatai Okoya writes heartfelt letter to billionaire father, seeks reconciliation after 40-year estrangement
Fatai Okoya, who claims to be the first son of billionaire businessman Rasak Okoya, has publicly appealed for forgiveness after four decades of estrangement.
According to Peoples Gazette, Fatai made the appeal in an open letter circulating on social media, expressing regret over decisions that reportedly caused their separation.
He claimed his father disowned him for marrying a woman against his wishes, although the marriage has since ended.
“More than four decades have passed, and today, I write with a humble heart, putting aside all pride to say: Dad, I am truly sorry. Please, find it in your heart to forgive me,” he wrote.
Fatai explained that previous attempts to reach his father through relatives and friends had failed, prompting his public appeal.
“No matter what has happened, you remain my father, and I will forever be your first child,” he added.
He expressed hope for reconciliation, saying he missed his father and wanted them to rebuild their relationship.
