A federal grand jury in the Northern District of Texas has returned an eight-count superseding indictment against Nigerian Felix Omoruyi, 39, of DeSoto, Texas, Peoples Gazette reported. He is charged with sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, sex trafficking of a minor, and related charges.

According to a Thursday statement by the U.S. Department of Justice, Omoruyi allegedly compelled five adult women to perform commercial sex acts in Texas and elsewhere for his financial benefit from December 2007 through November 2025. One of the women was allegedly trafficked beginning when she was a minor.

After his November 2025 arrest on the initial indictment, he also allegedly attempted to destroy evidence and obstruct his prosecution by contacting victims and witnesses to influence their statements and testimony. He is also charged with obstruction. If convicted of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, he faces a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison, along with mandatory restitution.
