Football fans launch petition calling for Gianni Infantino to resign

Football supporters worldwide have launched a petition demanding FIFA president Gianni Infantino resign following his controversial attempt to attract private investors to future World Cup profits. According to TSN, the #InfantinoOut campaign is backed by groups including Football Supporters Europe, Football Supporters Africa and the Independent Supporters Council.

The petition accuses Infantino of failing to provide transparent and accountable leadership after FIFA’s proposed commercial venture was abandoned following widespread opposition. UEFA and officials from CONCACAF and the Asian Football Confederation have also criticised his leadership. The supporters are now calling for Infantino’s departure and fundamental reforms at FIFA.
