Former Arsenal player Carl Jenkinson calls Time on career at 34
Former Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 34, ending a career that took him from the Highbury stands to the Emirates Stadium. According to The Highbury Library, Jenkinson made 70 appearances for Arsenal after joining from Charlton Athletic in 2011 and won two FA Cups with the club.
The right-back also represented England once and later played for West Ham United, Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest and Bromley. Jenkinson said he leaves football without regrets, crediting his work ethic for helping him reach the highest level despite struggling with confidence throughout his career.
